Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Automation QA Engineer with strong experience in Playwright to join a high-impact project with one of the Big 4 consulting firms. The role involves designing and maintaining robust automation frameworks for modern web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks using JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Execute automated test suites for functional, regression, and smoke testing.
- Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform cross-browser testing and ensure compatibility across environments.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
- Analyze test results, log defects, and track them to closure.
- Support manual testing when required and contribute to overall QA strategy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 48 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on automation.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Experience in testing modern web applications (React, Angular, etc.).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.).
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with BrowserStack or other cloud-based testing tools
- Exposure to API testing (Postman, REST APIs)
- Experience working with consulting or enterprise clients
- ISTQB or equivalent certification
