Job Title: Quality Engineer (Sheet Metal)
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication. The ideal candidate should possess proficient knowledge in operating measurement tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and others. Additionally, familiarity with reading bending drawings is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of sheet metal components to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Utilize measurement tools including vernier calipers, micrometers, and others to verify dimensional accuracy and tolerances.
- Interpret bending drawings and technical specifications to assess product conformity and identify deviations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of inspection results, quality metrics, and corrective actions taken.
- Provide guidance and support to production staff regarding quality control procedures and best practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes and reduce defects.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to facilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to sheet metal fabrication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality engineering within the sheet metal and powder coating industry.
- Proficiency in operating measurement tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and others.
- Strong understanding of reading and interpreting bending drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
