Quality Assurance Lead - Manual

Job Summary:

We are looking for a QA Engineer with 6+ years of experience in both manual and automation testing for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in functional and UI testing , with hands-on experience in API testing (Postman), database validation (SQL), and automation testing using Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manual Testing (Web & Mobile Apps)

Design, develop, and execute test cases for functional, UI, regression, and cross-browser testing.

Perform web and mobile testing across different platforms and devices (Android, iOS).

Conduct cross-browser testing (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) and cross-device testing.

2. API & Database Testing

Perform API testing using Postman (validating requests, responses, authentication, and headers).

Write and execute SQL queries to verify database integrity and ensure data consistency.

3. Automation Testing (Web & Mobile Apps)

Develop automation test scripts using Selenium (Web), Cypress, Playwright, or Appium (Mobile).

Implement test automation frameworks and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).

Maintain and enhance existing test automation suites.

4. Performance Testing (Good to Have)

Conduct performance testing using JMeter, k6, or Locust.

5. Bug Reporting & Agile Testing

Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA, TestRail, or similar tools.

Work closely with developers and product managers to ensure issue resolution.

Participate in agile ceremonies like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills:

Manual Testing: Functional, UI, Regression, Cross-Browser, Mobile App Testing

API Testing: Postman (Collections, Assertions, Headers, Authentication, Environment)

Database Testing: SQL queries for data validation (MySQL/PostgreSQL)

Automation Testing: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright (Web), Appium (Mobile)

Test Frameworks: Jest, Mocha, Chai (for JavaScript/TypeScript automation)

CI/CD Integration: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD

Bug Tracking Tools: JIRA, TestRail, or similar defect tracking systems

Agile Testing: Experience with Scrum/Kanban methodologies
