Essential Functions
- Auditing Vendor Quality Control systems to insure they are consistent with TLD Quality requirements.
- Act as first responder to vendor quality issues identified during production, identifying corrective action and resolving issues with the vendor.
- Managing the technical side of the Vendor Warranty Claim (VWC) System (where TLD makes a claim on the Vendor for an item that our customer has made a claim on us) to include VWC meetings and MRB flow.
- Leads the SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request) process by guiding and (as need be) driving the supplier in root cause investigations to resolve quality issues found in house and in the field related to their product.
- Steers the process of the First Article Inspection (FAI) of parts to insure all drawing and specification requirements are met and that all follow-up actions for the supplier and TLD are identified and carried out. He has the authority to delegate the processing of FAIs to other qualified persons.
- Reviews the NCRs (Non Conformance Reports) on a daily basis to identify candidates for Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR)
- Establishes the inspection standards (frequency, sampling plans) and inspection tooling calibration requirements with suppliers.
Profil Recherché
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- The VQC should possess a minimum 2 year technical degree or equivalent level of Professional training in Quality Assurance processes.
- The person in this position must have a strong capability to understand the functional and manufacturing aspects of the products being monitored as well as their application in the TLD product. They must also have a strong root cause analysis capability
- Established written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills, preferably also in the English language. Ability to handle dynamic situations and facilitation skills needed.
- Training to ISO 9001 Standard as an auditor
- Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Root Cause Analysis tools (Failure Mode Effect Analysis (aka FMEA), Fishbone diagrams, 5 Ys)
