About the Role
Key Responsibilities -
- Test Planning and Strategy: Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements. Identify testing needs and define testing scope to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Collaborate with the development team to understand project specifications and technical requirements.
- Test Execution: Perform manual and automated testing of web and mobile applications across multiple browsers and devices. Execute functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance tests (UAT). Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring thorough documentation of bug reports.
- Automation Development: Design and develop automated test scripts using various automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG). Continuously maintain and enhance automated test suites to keep up with changes in the application. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Bug Tracking and Reporting: Reproduce defects, verify bug fixes, and conduct root cause analysis to identify the source of issues. Collaborate with developers and product managers to prioritize and resolve issues promptly. Generate detailed and clear reports on test results, test coverage, and quality metrics.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle. Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and provide feedback to improve the development and testing process. Act as a quality advocate, ensuring that the application meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Performance Testing: Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to ensure the application can handle expected user traffic and data loads. Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with the development team to optimize performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve the testing process by researching new tools, methodologies, and best practices. Proactively suggest improvements to enhance product quality, test efficiency, and test coverage. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging testing technologies.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and results for future reference and audits. Share knowledge and provide training to junior QA team members, helping to raise the overall skill level of the team.
What are we looking for -
- BE in Computer Science or IT or EC
- Should have a good problem solving and excellent coding skills in one of C/C++/Java etc
- Knowledge of relational database/SQL
- Extremely self-motivated,able to identify opportunities for improvement and tackle them
- Basic understanding of linux systems and commands.
- Strong communication skills
