Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an agile, highly motivated Entry-Mid-Level QA Engineer to join our SimplifyVMS feature validation team. In this role, you will get the opportunity to blend functional feature testing with hands-on test automation. Working closely with both our Senior QA and Automation Lead, you will ensure swift validation of monthly releases while expanding your automated scripting skill set.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual and exploratory test cases for newly developed features, ensuring user-story acceptance criteria are met.
• Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts under the guidance of the Senior Automation Engineer.
• Identify, document, log, and track software defects thoroughly using Jira.
• Participate in sprint planning and grooming sessions to provide QA estimations for incoming features.
• Execute regression test suites (both manual and automated) to verify platform stability before production rollouts.

Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise:

• 0.6 -1 years of professional experience in software testing.
• Hands-on exposure to at least one automation tool/scripting language (e.g., basic scripting in Selenium, Cypress, Java, or JavaScript).
• Good understanding of web technologies, browser developer tools, and API testing basics using Postman.
• Strong logical thinking, troubleshooting skills, and an eye for spotting UI/UX and functional discrepancies.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting quickly to shifting release priorities.
• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, Foreign equivalent degrees are acceptable.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive & Results-Oriented: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality results in fast-paced environments.
• Domain Knowledge: Experience in QA/AI/Automation preferred.
