About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on QA Engineer with strong expertise in Capital Markets application testing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Backend/System Testing, deep knowledge of trading workflows, FIX Protocol validation, and a solid understanding of Capital Markets business processes.

This role requires a proactive professional who can independently drive testing activities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality applications in a fast-paced trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Backend/System Testing of Capital Markets applications, focusing on business logic validation and core system functionality.
• Validate end-to-end trading workflows across frontend and backend systems.
• Analyze business and functional requirements and design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute Integration Testing, System Testing, and Regression Testing across multiple applications and interfaces.
• Validate FIX Protocol messages, including order lifecycle management and trade-related transactions.
• Perform SQL and Database Testing to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Validate Kafka/MQ messages and ensure seamless communication between systems.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects through closure using defect management tools.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to ensure complete test coverage.
• Participate in requirement reviews and contribute to quality improvements throughout the SDLC.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and Swagger.
• Analyze logs and troubleshoot application issues effectively.
• Independently manage testing deliverables and proactively address challenges in dynamic project environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

Must-Have Skills

• 6-9 years of experience in Software Testing, with significant exposure to Capital Markets applications
• Strong expertise in Backend/System Testing
• Hands-on experience in SQL and Database Testing
• Good understanding of Capital Markets business processes and trading workflows
• Experience with FIX Protocol and FIX message validation
• Strong knowledge of Business Logic Validation
• Expertise in Requirement Analysis, Test Case Design, and Test Execution
• Experience in Integration, System, and Regression Testing
• Proficiency in API Testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools
• Experience with Kafka/MQ Message Validation
• Strong defect management and troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of frontend and backend application architecture and workflow
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of testing deliverables

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Test Automation and Automation Frameworks
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux commands
• Experience in OMS (Order Management System) / RMS (Risk Management System) Testing
• Domain knowledge of Equities, Derivatives, Commodities, and Trading Platforms
• Hands-on experience with application log analysis and monitoring tools
