Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing manual and automated test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and ensuring the overall quality and reliability of applications across multiple platforms and environments.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure timely defect resolution and high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test cases to validate application functionality, usability, performance, and reliability.
• Identify, document, reproduce, and track software defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, and Product teams to understand requirements and expected system behavior.
• Prepare and maintain test cases, test scenarios, test data, and test execution reports.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing across applications and platforms.
• Validate bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved before production deployment.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and QA discussions within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Support automation testing initiatives and contribute to improving testing efficiency.
• Ensure applications meet quality standards, business requirements, and user expectations.
• Assist in maintaining QA documentation and testing processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or application validation.
• Exposure to both manual and automated testing methodologies.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of:
• Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
• Bug life cycle
• Test case creation and execution
• Experience with:
• Defect tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps
• Test management tools
• Basic automation testing tools/frameworks
• Familiarity with API testing, web applications, and mobile application testing is a plus.
• Basic understanding of SQL and database validation preferred.

Testing Expertise

• Hands-on experience in:
• Functional testing
• Regression testing
• Smoke testing
• Integration testing
• User acceptance support
• Ability to analyze test results and identify root causes of issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exposure to automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar tools.
• Basic knowledge of scripting/programming languages is an advantage.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
