As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Kindle Unlimited, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards. Our ideal candidate possesses strong coding skills combined with a demonstrated passion for Quality Assurance. We value individuals who are technically proficient and thrive in collaborative, dynamic environments. Our QAEs test code both manually and with automated tools. They are not just black box testers they understand software internals, can debug problems using log files, and write automated tests using both traditional and AI powered frameworks. You will be a key voice during design and coding phases, contributing to the development of high-quality test automation that drives down operational costs and enables faster deployments.

Key job responsibilities
. Test Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for new features and product releases that spans across multiple marketplaces and device types (Home-grown and 3P)
. Bug Identification and Resolution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, resolve software defects and make right decision to narrow down the root cause for effective resolution.
. Automation Development: Develop and maintain automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness with exposure to different test framework with both traditional framework and AI powered/ NLP (Natural Language Processing) based framework
. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of quality throughout the development lifecycle
. Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in retrospectives and contribute to process improvements that enhance overall product quality
A day in the life
Quality Assurance Engineers at Amazon test cutting edge applications and products at the user level and code level, both manually and with automated tools. QAEs at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of taking up tasks from start to completion with minimal help. You will work with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation. You will also work with groups such as Product Management, UX designers to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests driving the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies. You will develop automated tests to help fasten testing cycles and release faster to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible to deliver manual/automated solutions to test customer facing features.

- 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl)
- Demonstrated experience in Manual testing, test planning, test design, test strategy, and test execution
- Demonstrated experience working on Mobile/Device testing
- Experience in API & Mobile testing
- Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
- Hands-on non-functional experience on test scope such as Accessibility, Localization and Performance testing.
