Position Summary

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our fast-growing digital health engineering

team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, startup environments and takes

strong ownership of product quality across the entire technology stack. You will be responsible

for establishing, executing, and continuously improving robust QA processes that ensure the

reliability, security, and performance of our cloud backend, mobile applications, and web-based

dashboards.

In addition to working closely with engineering, product, and design, you will collaborate with

our care coordination team to support day-to-day operational needs. You will develop deep

product expertise, serve as a technical resource, and help troubleshoot product-related

questions and issues as they arise.

You will be expected to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle, from

requirements through release and post-deployment monitoring, while also helping internal

teams understand system behavior, expected outcomes, and resolution paths. This position

offers the opportunity to define QA best practices for a growing organization and is intended

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end quality assurance across the entire product stack, including backend

cloud systems, mobile applications (iOS and Android), and web-based dashboards.

Define, implement, and continuously improve robust QA processes and standards that

ensure high quality, reliability, and scalability across all components of the platform.

Lead QA efforts for each release cycle, ensuring thorough validation of backend services,

mobile apps, and dashboards prior to production deployments.

Perform comprehensive testing of mobile applications, including UI/UX validation, core

user flows, edge cases, and visual consistency against design specifications.

Test mobile app performance, stability, and behavior under real-world conditions (e.g.,

different devices, OS versions, and network conditions).

Validate backend systems and APIs, including data integrity, business logic,

authentication, integrations, and error handling.

Ensure seamless interfaces and data flow between mobile apps, backend services, and

dashboards through integration and end-to-end testing.

Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and regression suites spanning manual and

automated testing for backend, mobile, and web components.

Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to review requirements

early, ensure testability, and align on quality expectations.

Integrate QA processes and automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and

repeatable releases.

Perform ongoing regression testing, post-release validation, and monitoring to quickly

identify issues and verify fixes.

Clearly document, prioritize, and track defects and quality risks, working with

engineering teams to drive timely resolution.

Define and track quality metrics (e.g., defect trends, release readiness, test coverage) to

continuously improve overall product quality.

Partner with the care coordination team as a technical product expertproviding

guidance, troubleshooting support, and clear answers to product questions or

operational issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical

field.

3+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing, with

demonstrated ownership of QA processes.

Experience setting up and managing QA strategies and processes for production systems

in a fast-paced environment.

Hands-on experience testing backend services (APIs, databases, cloud systems) and

front-end applications (web and mobile).

Experience with test automation frameworks and tools for API, web, and mobile testing.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment

workflows.

Experience using issue tracking and project management tools such as Jira.

Prior experience working in a startup or rapidly scaling environment, with the ability to

manage multiple priorities in parallel.

Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and

quality best practices.

Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and a strong sense of ownership and

accountability.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across

engineering, product, and design teams.
