Role Overview
Quality Engineer with strong Automation expertise who owns quality end-to-end. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Web and API automation, a solid understanding of automation frameworks, and a Quality Engineering mindsetgoing beyond test execution to focus on risk, design, and continuous quality improvement.
Quality Engineering
- Strong Quality Engineering mindset (not just test execution)
- Experience in requirement analysis, test design, and risk-based testing
- Ability to think through edge cases, negative scenarios, and quality risks
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Test Automation
- Hands-on experience with Web automation using Selenium or Playwright
- Hands-on experience with API automation using Rest-Assured or similar tools
- Good programming skills in Java / JavaScript / TypeScript (based on stack)
- Experience maintaining stable and reliable automated test suites
Automation Frameworks
- Strong understanding of the automation framework used by them
- Framework structure and design
- Reusability and maintainability concepts
- Hands-on experience in enhancing or contributing to existing frameworks
- Ability to explain framework design decisions and trade-offs
Communication
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to clearly explain test approach, automation design, and quality risks
Good To Have Skills
- Hands-on experience in framework development
- Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to non-functional testing (performance)
- Exposure to test metrics, reporting, and quality dashboards
