Role Overview
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality software solutions by designing and implementing robust testing frameworks, driving automation, and ensuring effective collaboration across cross-functional teams. You will lead testing initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and proactively contribute to operational excellence and financial efficiency in the QA process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Delivery
- Design and implement scalable automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality test artifacts, including test plans, test scripts, and test results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive testing coverage across the SDLC.
- Continuously evaluate and introduce new testing tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance quality.
2. Operations
- Mentor and guide junior QA team members on testing strategies, tools, and best practices.
- Manage and oversee the testing process to ensure alignment with project timelines and business objectives.
- Conduct regular reviews of QA processes and implement improvements for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead the creation and presentation of detailed test result reports, including key metrics and insights.
- Serve as a key liaison between development and QA teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of automation frameworks, scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java), and testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestNG, Playwright).
- CI/CD: Hands-on experience with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Agile Methodology: Proficiency in Agile/Scrum practices with the ability to adapt testing strategies accordingly.
- Communication and Leadership: Strong ability to mentor team members, facilitate cross-team collaboration, and present test findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve testing challenges promptly.
- Metrics and Reporting: Expertise in generating meaningful test metrics and dashboards to track QA progress and influence decision-making.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to Automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright) and one programming language (java, python) along with frameworks like TestNG, BDD, Hybrid.
- Experience working in large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
