Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Software Tester with 1–2 years of experience to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will assist in testing applications across web, mobile, and enterprise platforms, ensuring high product quality and adherence to business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand project requirements and functional specifications.
- Write and execute test cases (manual and/or automated) based on requirements.
- Identify, log, and track bugs using tools like Jira or equivalent.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UI testing across web and mobile platforms.
- Assist in validating backend data using basic SQL queries.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and senior testers to ensure product quality.
- Participate in daily standups and sprint activities as part of the Agile team.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining QA documentation (test cases, test plans, bug reports).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in software testing (manual or automation).
- Familiarity with testing tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar.
- Basic understanding of SQL and ability to perform simple queries.
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Exposure to web and mobile application testing.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
- Exposure to automation tools like Selenium, Postman (API testing), or any other automation framework.
- Knowledge of version control tools such as Git.
- Basic understanding of Agile methodology.
- Familiarity with financial or loan management systems is a plus.
