Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly driven and quality-focused QA Engineer with strong expertise in both Manual and Automation Testing. This role goes beyond executionyou will take end-to-end ownership of quality, influence testing strategy, and act as a quality advocate across teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates a leadership mindset, proactively drives improvements, and ensures delivery of robust, scalable, and high-performing products.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Ownership & Execution
- Own the entire testing lifecycle for assigned projects, from requirement analysis to final sign-off.
- Design, document, and execute comprehensive manual test cases covering functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and UAT scenarios.
- Ensure high-quality releases by identifying risks early and enforcing quality gates.
Automation & Technical Excellence
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automation test frameworks and scripts to maximize test coverage and reduce manual effort.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
- Perform API testing and validate backend services for accuracy, performance, and reliability.
Collaboration & Influence
- Actively participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure testability and quality alignment.
- Work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Provide clear, actionable quality insights to stakeholders and leadership.
Leadership & Process Improvement
- Mentor and guide junior QA team members, reviewing test cases and automation scripts.
- Drive process improvements, testing standards, and best practices across projects.
- Take initiative in defining test strategies, quality metrics, and reporting mechanisms.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2.5+ years of hands-on experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proven experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
- Hands-on experience in API testing using tools like Postman or equivalent.
- Strong defect management skills using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Solid understanding of web and application architectures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset and leadership capability, even without a formal QA Lead title.
