Job Description

  • Understand and align to BUPA testing standards and processes throughout the delivery of the project.
  • Based on the adoption of approved quality testing practices, demonstrate that the software application meets the Business & Functional requirements and is fit for purpose.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to define, execute, document, and maintain test cases and test automation as per directions given by the QA Analyst.
  • Perform routine activities such as understanding requirements and acceptance criteria, write comprehensive test cases, scenarios, and create test data.
  • Should acquire automation first mindset.
  • Design, execute and maintain UI, API, Mobile Automation scripts.
  • Understand Bupa test automation framework and create automated scripts.
  • Produce the testing artifacts such as test plan, test reports, etc based on defined scope and deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively within the squad and the wider delivery teams during the build of new features/enhancements

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
  • Familiarity with QA methodologies and tools (e.g., Selenium, Azure DevOps, JIRA).
  • Experience with testing tools and scripting and automation languages (e.g., SQL, VBScript, Javascript, Python, Java).
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, HACCP).
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Experience in various testing types such as functional, UI, API, and database testing.
  • Experience working in large-scale and complex environments (nice to have).
  • ISTQB certification is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Possess 2 - 4 years of QA or software testing experience



Requirements:

  • Good planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Able to work independently with the least supervision, but always a team player
  • Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Attention to detail
  • Good understanding of testing methodologies and testing processes
  • Understand software development life cycle and various testing techniques including proficiency in systems testing
  • Good documentation and communication skills
  • Familiar with testing tools and defects management tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps or HP
  • Ability to work off-business hours as needed



Preferences, Training and Experiences:

  • Experience in medical, health, or life insurance
  • Experience in test data management
  • Intermediate to Expert SQL knowledge, with the ability to write and execute SQL queries for database verification across different tables
  • Cantonese speaker preferred but not required. Excellent English is required if candidate is not a Chinese speaker
  • Background in business analysis
  • Experience in testing API's (REST, SOAP, or application propriety API's)
  • ISTQB / QAI certifications
