What's The Role

As a Quality Assurance Analyst Endur, you will be responsible for validating critical functionalities across the energy trade lifecycle including deal capture, risk calculations, scheduling, and settlements within our ETRM system. You'll design and execute comprehensive test strategies, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing. Your role supports release readiness and ensures high-quality delivery while collaborating closely with traders, analysts, developers, and stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases to validate ETRM configurations, workflows, and end-to-end trade processes.
  • Perform regression testing after system updates, feature enhancements, and integrations.
  • Validate risk computations (e.g., VaR, MtM) and critical business calculations.
  • Identify, log, and track defects using bug-tracking tools; collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, prioritize, and resolve them.
  • Support automation testing efforts to improve efficiency where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with internal protocols and regulatory requirements through thorough testing and documentation.
  • Monitor testing progress, report on readiness, and escalate risks or blockers during product releases.
  • Support UAT, drive defect resolution, and ensure production readiness.
  • Work with DevOps and data teams to streamline integrations and enable automated workflows.

What You Bring

  • 58 years of software testing experience, including 4+ years in Endur/ETRM domain and energy/commodity trading (Oil, Gas, Power, Commodities).
  • Strong knowledge of Endur core functionality, deal lifecycle (transaction status, nominations, settlements), FO/MO/BO processes, and integration with SAP and other ETRM systems.
  • Experience with End-of-Day and batch processes, instrument fixings, simulations, reporting; basic SQL and Endur data model.
  • Proficiency in ALM, Azure DevOps, JIRA; programming skills in OpenJVS, Java, and tools like QTP/UFT.
  • Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, functional design, scoping, planning, and end-to-end trade lifecycle testing.
  • Familiarity with managers, configurations, deal setup, Connex framework, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to work effectively across cultures and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Agile development experience is mandatory; broad IT knowledge and understanding of business process improvement, risk management, and benefit realization.
  • Flexible to support UK/US overlap hours.
