Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Quality Analyst responsible for ensuring high product quality across web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manual testing, strong defect management skills, and a solid understanding of SDLC/STLC processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Create detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, and System Testing.
- Execute test cases and document results with proper evidence.
- Log, track, and manage defects using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Participate in Sprint Planning, Story Grooming, and Retrospectives.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners, and QA team members.
- Conduct Smoke/Sanity testing before release deployments.
- Support UAT testing and production validation when required.
- Ensure adherence to defined QA processes and compliance standards. Required
Skills & Qualifications
- 13 years of experience (Junior) / 35 years (Mid-level) in Manual Testing.
- Strong understanding of:
- SDLC & STLC
- Test case design techniques (BVA, EP, Decision Table, etc.)
- Defect life cycle
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Hands-on experience with Jira or similar defect tracking tools.
- Basic knowledge of:
- API testing (Postman preferred)
- SQL queries for data validation
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good to Have
- Exposure to automation tools (Cypress / Playwright).
- Experience in Web & Mobile application testing.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD workflows.
- Knowledge of performance or security testing basics. Behavioral Competencies
