Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Analyst L1 to support software testing and quality assurance activities. The ideal candidate will assist in executing test cases, reporting defects, and ensuring software meets functional and non-functional requirements. This role is ideal for freshers or candidates with limited experience who are eager to start a career in software quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Testing & Execution:

· Execute manual test cases and document test results.

· Perform functional, regression, and basic integration testing under guidance.

· Identify, report, and track defects using defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).

Collaboration & Documentation:

· Work closely with QA leads, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and test scenarios.

· Maintain clear documentation of test cases, test scripts, and defects.

Support & Learning:

· Assist in data validation, test environment setup, and test data preparation.

· Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and training to learn QA processes and tools.

Process Adherence:

· Follow QA methodologies, standards, and best practices.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on testing processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience:

· 1–3 years of experience in software testing or QA; internships or academic projects are a plus.

Technical Skills:

· Basic understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC, and QA methodologies.

· Familiarity with defect tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla) and test documentation.

· Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs, or automation tools is a plus.

Soft Skills:

· Eagerness to learn and develop QA skills.

· Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.

· Effective communication and collaboration skills.

· Ability to follow guidance and meet deadlines.

Work Environment:

· Flexible to work in shifts, including US overlap hours, based on project and client requirements.

· Office-based role with occasional extended hours for project deadlines.

· Ability to commute/relocate to Coimbatore.
