Job Description:
Medline India is seeking a skilled
Manual QA Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in
functional testing of
web applications and
APIs. The candidate will be adept at writing detailed
manual test cases, collaborating closely with
business stakeholders and
development teams, and ensuring quality throughout the software development life cycle across
multiple environments.
Responsibilities:
- Must be a strong Test Engineer who can work independently and be capable of solving problems and communicating.
- Perform functional testing of web and API-based applications.
- Write, review, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases and test scenarios.
- Participate in requirement gathering and grooming sessions with business stakeholders in Global team setup.
- Collaborate with BAs to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and resolve issues.
- Execute tests across various environments (e.g., dev, QA, UAT, prod).
- Report and track issues to closure using tools like Jira or similar.
- Create, update, and track the test cases within Test Management system (e.g. Zephyr).
- Support QA activities during deployment and post-deployment verification.
- Maintain and improve test documentation and testing processes.
Work Experience & Skills:
- 4+ years of manual testing experience with a strong focus on web applications and APIs.
- Expertise in functional testing and test case design.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Postman, Jira, TestRail (or equivalent).
- Ability to work independently and manage QA efforts across different stages of the SDLC.
- Ability to create test cases based on user stories and business requirements.
- Expertise in writing and executing SQL queries for data testing.
- Must have work experience in Agile/Scrum Teams.
- Experience working on applications built on front-end technologies like Angular, React, JavaScript, or Typescript will be a plus.
- Experience in writing service automation and UI Automation using Selenium and Java will be a plus.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related
