Job DescriptionWe are looking for a QA Engineer with strong experience in backend and data validation testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with data-intensive applications and a solid understanding of SQL.
Key Responsibilities- Perform manual testing for backend/data-driven applications
- Design and execute test cases based on business requirements
- Validate stored procedures, database views, and large datasets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during UAT cycles
- Track and manage defects using tools like JIRA and Confluence
Required Skills- Strong SQL knowledge (joins, nested queries, aggregations, data validation)
- Experience in manual testing of backend/data-heavy systems
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Ability to understand business logic and data mapping
Preferred Skills- Experience in ETL testing or data validation across systems
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience in QA documentation and reporting
- Basic knowledge of tools like Postman or Excel macros
Additional Knowledge- Awareness of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG)
- Understanding of test lifecycle, regression testing, and reusability
- Basic knowledge of data warehousing or BI systems
- Understanding of data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR)
