Job Summary
Qlik Replicate Installation & Configuration:
- Install, configure, and manage Qlik Replicate environments on-premises or in the cloud.
- Configure source and target data systems for replication, including databases, applications, and cloud platforms.
- Set up the initial data replication tasks, ensuring high availability, failover, and load balancing where required.
Monitoring & Performance Optimization:
- Continuously monitor Qlik Replicate jobs, ensuring data flows are efficient, accurate, and timely
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, replication lag, or connectivity issues.
- Proactively address potential failures and performance issues using monitoring tools and log analysis.
Data Replication & Management:
- Design and implement data replication strategies (real-time, batch, CDC - Change Data Capture) between multiple systems.
- Manage and troubleshoot the data migration process, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
- Support database replication, cloud storage integration, and hybrid cloud environments.
Troubleshooting & Support:
- Analyze and resolve issues related to replication, synchronization, and data transfer errors.
- Provide second-tier support for data integration issues, collaborating with developers and data engineers as necessary.
- Resolve replication job failures, retry mechanisms, and error handling.
Upgrades & Patches:
- Apply software updates, patches, and perform upgrades on Qlik Replicate to ensure the platform remains up to date and secure.
- Ensure compatibility with source and target systems during the update process.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Create and maintain documentation for Qlik Replicate configurations, system architecture, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Develop regular reports on replication health, data flow status, and performance metrics for management.
Collaboration & Training:
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to understand data replication requirements.
- Provide training and support to other team members and business users on how to use Qlik Replicate effectively.
- Assist in planning and executing data migration or transformation projects.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement security policies for data replication, including encryption, access controls, and audit logging.
- Ensure that data governance standards and compliance regulations (e. g. , GDPR, HIPAA) are adhered to.
Disaster Recovery & Backup:
- Design and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure replication continuity in case of system failures.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery drills to ensure data integrity and availability.
