We are seeking an experienced QCA IPDRG Medical Coder to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, specifically in the context of inpatient care and IPDRG, to ensure accurate coding and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures based on IPDRG guidelines.
- Ensure accurate coding of inpatient records to support reimbursement and compliance with federal regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding discrepancies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations, including updates to IPDRG.
- Participate in quality audits and provide feedback for continuous improvement in coding accuracy.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3-7 years of experience in medical coding, specifically with QCA and IPDRG systems.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, COC) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficient in coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy in coding tasks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
