Job Title: QC Engineer (HVAC & Ducting)

Role Overview:
The Quality Control Engineer will oversee and enforce quality standards across all phases of semiconductor FAB construction. This includes cleanroom environments, process utility systems, and high-precision installations. The role ensures compliance with client specifications, international standards, and project-specific quality plans.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) aligned with ISO standards and client requirements
- Prepare and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for HVAC, duct, cleanroom finishes, and equipment installation
- Conduct site inspections and audits to verify construction activities meet quality benchmarks
- Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and test reports
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality deliverables and timely documentation
- Monitor non-conformance reports (NCRs) and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Maintain QA/QC documentation for handover and regulatory compliance
- Support commissioning and validation activities for cleanroom and process systems
- Ensure safety and cleanliness protocols are integrated into quality checks, especially in controlled environments
Qualification and Skills:
- Bachelors degree or Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in semiconductor or high-tech facility construction
- Strong knowledge of cleanroom standards (ISO 14644), SEMI standards, and process utilities
- Familiarity with ASME, ASTM, SEMI, NFPA, DVS and other applicable standards for piping and equipment installation
- Proficiency in QA/QC software and documentation systems
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Professional certification in relevant field will be an added advantage
Preferred:
- Prior involvement in FAB construction projects (e.g., Micron, Intel, GlobalFoundries, Siltronics etc)
- Experience with high-purity piping, gas distribution systems, and vibration-sensitive installations
- Exposure to international EPC contractors or turnkey semiconductor projects
