Job Title - QA - Trade Finance

We are seeking an experienced AVP to lead and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for trade operations systems and projects within our bank. The ideal candidate will ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, business-critical solutions by coordinating UAT activities, engaging stakeholders, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end UAT execution for core banking system replacement project, specifically in trade finance.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, IT, and QA teams to define UAT scope, acceptance criteria, and test strategies tailored to trade operations.

Develop, review, and maintain UAT test plans, scenarios, and scripts based on business requirements and functional specifications.

Oversee UAT team members, assign testing tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of testing cycles.

Manage defect lifecycle: log, track, prioritize, and coordinate with development teams for resolution.

Facilitate UAT sign-off, ensuring all acceptance criteria are met and regulatory/compliance requirements are addressed.

Prepare and deliver regular UAT status reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior management.

Identify opportunities to enhance UAT processes, tools, and methodologies specific to trade operations.

Ensure adherence to industry regulations, internal policies, and best practices throughout the UAT process.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 8 years experience in software/application testing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing UAT for banking/trade operations systems.

Strong domain knowledge of trade operations (e.g., trade finance, letters of credit, payments, settlements, SWIFT messaging).

Familiarity with banking regulations, compliance standards, and risk management practices.

Hands-on experience with UAT management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM) and test automation frameworks.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Attributes:

Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., ISTQB, PMP, CTP).

Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to influence and drive cross-functional teams.
