Position Overview

Job Title: QA & Testing Analyst, Associate

Location: Bangalore, India

Role Description

• The QA & Testing Analyst works with the test team to develop testing strategies and devise test plans in order to ensure that applications meet business requirements and maintain Deutsche Bank's high QA & Testing quality standards.
• The QA & Testing Analyst provides hands on participation and oversight of testing activities tasks and resources needed to ensure the testing process meets software requirements prior to release into a live environment.
• The QA & Testing Analyst may specialize in a specific area of the testing process such as business process testing, test automation, performance testing, testing process, test environments, test data provisioning etc and in relevant tools such as Performance Centre, Quality Centre/ALM and Jira.

Your key responsibilities

• Contribute to test strategy, particularly around risk-based testing approach and the approach to testing the application
• Lead test review and/or inspection of requirements and other key documentation related to testing
• Critical examination of test and design solutions
• Test co-ordination (performing role of Test Lead as required)
• Test scenario / test case design specification, implementation and execution
• Automation of test cases for functional testing on Legacy COBOL technology
• Define Test data requirements
• Analyze test results, document issues and resolve errors. Retest corrections to ensure problems are resolved
• Regression pack gap analysis
• Non-functional test expertise - ability to critique non-functional requirements run / maintain automated performance test suites
• Ensure adherence to testing best practices and DB testing standards
• Provide input to improve testing processes.
• Champion and participate in the activities of the broader QA and Testing community

Your skills and experience

• Domain knowledge and expertise - SWIFT /ISO payments, ACH Payments,General Ledger, Accounting etc
• Experience in testing Payments and Core Banking systems
• Experience in creating Test Scenarios and Test cases of Payment processing applications using Blackbox techniques
• Experience of E2E testing Legacy applications in Financial Services landscape
• Experience of working within multi stream projects
• Exposure to complex system environments
• Understanding of test management and defect tracking tools
• Excellent understanding of testing across the full Software Development lifecycle
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM environment including agile tooling and methodology
• Performance and productivity oriented to drive toward quality testing outcomes and results
• Proactively initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with team members
• Demonstrated ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results.

Experience

• 4+ years experience of software testing complex products/systems
• 2+ years experience with testing of Mainframe applications
• Experience in at least 1 Core Banking application
• Experience is using ALM, JIRA,BitBucket
• Exposure to global client and understanding of global work culture
• Effective written and spoken communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment and solid people management skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, priorities multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
• Innovative approach to work and continuously identify and implement process improvements
• ISQTB Certified

Education/ Certification

• Bachelors Degree with an IT-related concentration (or equivalent diploma/work experience)
• Testing certification programs (ISTQB / ISEB)
