Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Tester to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a passion for ensuring high-quality software products. The QA Tester will be responsible for designing test plans, executing tests, and reporting defects to help improve our software development processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on the project requirements.
- Identify, document, and track defects in software applications.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand project specifications and user requirements.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Proficient in manual testing and familiar with automated testing tools.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Familiarity with SQL and ability to write basic queries for database testing.
- Understanding of web technologies and APIs (REST/SOAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
