Role Purpose
The QA/QC Head will provide strategic leadership and governance of the Quality function across the hyperscale data center program. The role will be responsible for defining, implementing, and enforcing a world-class quality management framework across design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
As the custodian of quality delivery, the QA/QC Head will ensure the project meets global hyperscale data center standards for reliability, performance, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Strategy & Governance
- Develop and drive the Project -wide Quality Strategy aligned with hyperscale data center delivery benchmarks.
- Establish the Quality Management Framework across:
- Civil & Structural Works
- MEP Systems
- Mission-Critical Infrastructure
- ICT & ELV Systems
- Implement a risk -based quality assurance approach across all project phases.
2. Leadership & Oversight
- Lead the QA/QC function across multiple work packages and contractors.
- Build and manage a high-performance quality team.
- Ensure uniform implementation of quality protocols across:
- EPC Contractors
- Specialist Vendors
- Commissioning Partners
3. Design & Pre-Construction Quality
- Ensure quality integration during:
- Design reviews
- Value engineering
- Material selection
- Drive constructability reviews from a quality perspective.
- Establish mock -up and benchmark standards for execution.
4. Construction Quality Assurance
- Oversee:
- Inspection regimes
- ITP approvals
- Method Statement compliance
- Monitor adherence to approved construction methodologies.
- Proactively identify execution risks impacting quality outcomes.
5. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Ensure quality readiness for:
- Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
- Drive quality-led commissioning approach aligned with uptime expectations.
- Ensure defect -free handover readiness.
6. Risk, Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Implement project -wide risk management framework.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and environmental norms.
- Maintain high HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Conduct regular audits and governance reviews.
7. Compliance & Audits
- Establish audit frameworks to ensure:
- Contractual compliance
- Code & standards adherence
- Client quality expectations
- Lead internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure closure of:
- NCRs
- Punch points
- Quality deviationsKey
Key Skills & Competencies
- 18 25 years total experience
- Minimum 8 10 years in leadership roles
- Experience in at least one of the following:
Data Centers
Semiconductor Plants
Pharma Facilities
Industrial Manufacturing Plants
Airports / Mission-Critical Infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering ( Civil / Electrical / Mechanical) mandatory.
- Master's Degree in Construction Management / MBA preferred.
- Professional certifications such as PMP , MRICS, or equivalent desirable.
Experience Required
- 20+ years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or mission-critical projects.
- Minimum 10 years in leadership QA QC role.
- Should be a ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma ( Green / Black Belt), Certified Quality Engineer ( CQE)
