Job Description

Job Purpose:

 We, at Jet2 (UK's third largest airlines and the second largest tour operator), have set up a state-of-the-art Technology and Innovation Centre in Pune, India. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. We are looking for a dynamic manager who can deep dive into Application Architecture and define the Testing Strategy for it with Automation First mindset. With adaptive leadership should display keen focus on speed of delivery, efficiency, quality, and adoption of AI

 

Responsibilities:

·       QA Strategy & Leadership 

o   Define and implement QA strategy, processes, and best practices 

o   Lead, mentor, and manage QA resources across various scrum teams.

o   Drive a quality-first culture across the teams.

·       Test Strategy & Planning 

o   Oversee test planning, test case design, and execution processes

o   Ensure comprehensive test coverage (functional, regression, performance, security) 

·       Test Automation

o   Lead from front with automation first mindset and drive initiatives around it

o   Implement test automation wherever possible with maximum coverage

o   Have a open mindset in leveraging AI technologies to help in optimizing test practices.

o   Improve test efficiency and reduce manual efforts on continuous basis

·       Collaboration

o   Work closely with Software Engineering Manager, Architects, Product Managers, QA Leads, and rest of the team members spread across India & UK.

o   Participate in requirement analysis and design discussions 

o   Ensure early defect detection and prevention 

·       Quality Metrics & Reporting 

o   Monitor the QA metrics and work on improvement areas

o   Track defects, test progress, and release readiness 

o   Ensure quality gates are met before releases

·       Process Improvement 

o   Identify areas for process improvement 

o   Implement continuous integration and continuous testing practices 

o   Ensure compliance with industry standards 

o   Good understanding of working in Agile 

·       People Management

o   Lead and guide the team members to improve their performance, outcome & effectiveness

o   Monitor KPIs and come up with improvement plans whenever needed

o   Define training plans & up skill the team on new technology, practices, or other areas

Essential Qualifications:

·       12+ years of QA Engineering and QA automation experience

·       12+ years of QA Engineering and automation experience with 5+ years into QA Leadership role.

·       4+ yrs on testing Web applications deployed on AWS Native stack (Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB) 

·       4+ yrs on test automation using tools like Playwright or Selenium or Cypress

·       3+ yrs experience working with the following: CI/CD, BDD, Agile/SCRUM/Kanban methodologies. Additional knowledge of SaFe is good to have. 

·       Understand and worked on applications using Microservices architecture preferably on AWS Cloud.

·       Extremely clear understanding on testing concepts, process & fundamentals.

·       Thorough understanding of Relational databases (SQL Server or any other) 

·       Prior experience of working with UK or other regions such as North America/EMEA/APAC. 

·       Bachelors/Masters/Doctorate in Computer Science or equivalent
