Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Lead / Senior Software Test Engineer with strong
expertise in software testing across complex enterprise systems. The ideal candidate
will have hands-on experience in RPA, Python-based systems, CAD, Trip Optimizer,
and LEADER platforms, along with a solid background in both manual and automation
testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end QA activities across systems such as CAD, Trip Optimizer, and
LEADER
- Design and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test
cases
- Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, and UAT testing
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools like Selenium and
Eggplant
- Drive automation initiatives and process optimization to improve efficiency
and coverage
- Lead CVE remediation testing and security validation efforts
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders
for requirement validation
- Manage the defect lifecycle using tools such as Jira and HP Quality Center
- Mentor and train team members on QA best practices and domain-specific
systems
- Support release cycles, deployment validation, and production support
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure timely delivery of QA milestones
- Provide status reports, metrics, and quality insights to leadership
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7–12+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance
- Strong expertise in Manual and Automation Testing
- Tools: Selenium, Eggplant, TestNG
- Experience with RPA and Python-based systems
- Solid understanding of:
- Functional, Integration, Regression, and UAT testing
- Hands-on experience with:
- Jira, Jenkins, Git, HP Quality Center
- Proven experience in:
- QA Leadership, Test Planning, and Team Mentoring
- Automation framework development
- Process optimization and quality improvement
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with safety-critical systems
- Knowledge of SOA-based architectures, ICE, and deployment workflows
- Experience in CVE remediation and security testing
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Domain experience in railroad systems is a plus
