We are seeking a skilled QA IPDRG Medical Coder to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of medical coding for inpatient services, following IPDRG guidelines and maintaining compliance with coding regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures according to IPDRG guidelines.
- Assign appropriate codes for inpatient services, adhering to the latest coding standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify information and resolve discrepancies in coding.
- Conduct quality assurance audits on coded records to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Stay updated on changes in coding regulations and IPDRG methodologies to ensure accuracy in coding practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3-10 years of experience in medical coding, specifically with IPDRG guidelines.
- Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure accurate coding.
