About This Role
We are looking for a passionate QA Intern to join our team and contribute to both manual and automation testing of our applications. The intern will gain hands-on experience in testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks, while working closely with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. Exposure to API testing and performance testing will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases and document test results clearly.
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and executing automation test scripts.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman, JMeter, or equivalent.
- Support performance and load testing initiatives.
- Identify, log, and track defects through the defect management process.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to reproduce, isolate, and resolve issues.
- Contribute to test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing principles (manual and automation).
- Familiarity with Java for test automation.
- Exposure to or keen interest in API testing and tools like Postman, JMeter, or REST Assured.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and the defect lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with performance/load testing tools like JMeter.
