Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Execution:

  • Develop, document, and maintain functional, integration, regression, and UAT test cases for Oracle HCM Cloud modules (e.g., Core HR, Payroll, Absence, Talent, Compensation).
  • Execute test scripts manually and/or using automation tools for various releases and configurations.
  • Validate HCM configurations, workflows, data mapping, security roles, and custom reports.

Defect Management:

  • Log defects with clear documentation (steps to reproduce, screenshots, impact).
  • Track and validate fixes from developers and configuration teams.
  • Work closely with Oracle support (SRs) when required for issue resolution.

Automation & Tools:

  • Utilize QA tools such as Oracle Application Testing Suite (OATS), Selenium, or other testing frameworks.
  • Contribute to test automation for regression testing, especially across frequent Oracle Cloud updates.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and developers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by assisting users, gathering feedback, and reporting results.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (if applicable) and contribute to QA status reports.

Oracle Cloud Readiness & Release Testing:

  • Test quarterly Oracle Cloud updates, patches, and new features as part of the release management process.
  • Evaluate impact analysis reports and coordinate release-specific testing activities.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of QA/testing experience, including at least 1–2 years testing Oracle HCM Cloud or Oracle EBS HCM modules.
  • Good understanding of HCM business processes like employee lifecycle, payroll, compensation, and performance.
  • Experience with tools like HP ALM, JIRA, TestRail, or similar.

Preferred:

  • Experience in automation testing using Selenium, OATS, or Oracle Test Manager.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware, BI Publisher, or OTBI reports testing.
  • ISTQB or Oracle HCM Cloud certification (nice to have).
