Summary: We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong experience in Salesforce application & API testing. The resource will own functional quality across our Salesforce platform, customer-facing Experience Cloud portal, and Azure-hosted APIs that connect them.

The role requires hands-on experience in Manual for web applications, API testing, and end-to-end validation across Salesforce and integrated systems.

The QA Engineer will work closely with developers, BAs, and product owners in an Agile delivery model.

Role & Responsibilities

· Translate user stories, acceptance criteria and wireframes into detailed test plans, manual test cases and exploratory charters.

· Execute manual functional, regression, smoke, sanity and UAT testing across Salesforce (Financial Services Domain) and the Experience Cloud portal.

· Validate end-to-end customer journeys spanning the portal, Salesforce back-office, and downstream APIs hosted on Azure (API Management, Functions, Logic Apps).

· Test REST and SOAP APIs using Postman / Newman: build collections, environments, request chains, data-driven tests and assertions.

· Test Salesforce-specific behaviors: profiles & permission sets, sharing, validation rules, Flows, Process Builder, queues, approval processes, email templates, FLS.

· Execute portal-specific testing: branded login flows, guest user vs authenticated journeys, audience targeting, CMS content, accessibility, and responsive layouts.

· Cross-browser and cross-device testing on Chrome, Edge, Safari and mobile

· Raise, triage and verify defects in Jira (or Azure DevOps Boards); attach precise reproduction steps, payloads, screenshots, console logs and network traces

· Validate data migrations and configuration changes between sandboxes and production; participate in deployment smoke tests after Salesforce releases.

· Support performance and load checks on portal pages and APIs; flag obvious bottlenecks for engineering.

Required Skills and Experience:

· 4 to 6 years of QA / test engineering experience on enterprise web applications.

· At least 2 years on Salesforce projects, ideally including Experience Cloud or Salesforce Sites.

· Demonstrable production releases tested end-to-end across portal, Salesforce, and external APIs.

· Strong test design fundamentals, equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision tables, state transition, exploratory charters both Manual & API.

· Comfort writing crisp, reproducible test cases, and producing risk-based test plans for tight release windows.

· Ability to run UAT alongside business users and translate their feedback into actionable defects

· Familiarity with Salesforce security model. profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, Field-Level Security, record types and how they affect test scenarios.

· Experience Cloud portal testing: guest vs authenticated flows, login/SSO, branding, audience targeting, CMS content blocks, navigation menus.

· Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness and ability to learn new software features.

Education:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
