About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a strong preference for Automation using Python. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the quality of our AI-based web and mobile applications. The candidate should be comfortable with front-end testing as well as back-end validation, including Database queries and API testing.

Key Responsibilities

- Test Strategy & Documentation: Create, review and maintain comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases based on product requirements.

- Test Execution: Perform Functional, Regression, and System testing to ensure the highest quality of software releases.

- Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python to cover functional and regression test suites.

- AI Application Testing: Validate the functionality, accuracy, and performance of AI-based applications across both web and mobile platforms.

- Database Validation: Write and execute queries in MongoDB to perform backend data validation and ensure data integrity.

- API Testing: Conduct Thorough testing of APIs and web services to validate business logic, data formatting, and error handling.

- Performance Testing: Utilize tools such as JMeter or Python to conduct performance and load testing on applications.

- Cross-Browser Compatibility: Execute tests across multiple browsers and devices, specifically Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer using WebDriver.

- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify bugs early and ensure clear communication regarding quality metrics.

Mandatory Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.

- Testing Mix: Proven experience with a combination of Manual and Automated testing, with a strong preference for candidates who have a heavier background in Automation.

- Automation Tools: Strong proficiency in writing automation scripts using Python. Experience with Selenium WebDriver is required.

- Database Skills: Experience with MongoDB for data analysis and backend validation.

- API Testing: Must have hands-on experience testing API / Web Services (REST/SOAP).

- Performance Testing: Experience using JMeter for performance and regression testing.

- Cross-Browser Testing: Experience testing web applications on Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer.

- Domain Experience: Experience testing AI-based applications (Web or Mobile) is mandatory.

- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills; Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
