Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manual QA Engineer with strong expertise in e-commerce testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our web applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of STLC, test case design, test execution, and hands-on experience with testing tools, defect tracking, and Agile delivery environments.
Must Have Skills
- Bachelor's degree in BE / B.Tech / MCA / Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of manual testing experience, including 3+ years in e-commerce or web application testing.
- Strong understanding of STLC, test planning, test case writing, execution, and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr).
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, relational databases, and SQL for backend validation.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Knowledge of API testing (Postman, REST).
- Familiarity with automation tools/frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
- Experience with performance, usability, cross-browser, or mobile testing.
- Understanding of e-commerce workflows:
- product catalog, search, filtering, cart, checkout, payments, promotions, returns.
- Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps pipelines, or integration of tests.
- Awareness of security testing or accessibility testing.
