Role Overview
We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer with a strong Business Analyst mindset who can act as the bridge between business requirements and technical implementation. This role requires deep understanding of business logic, independent analysis of requirements, and close collaboration with development teams to ensure high-quality, business-aligned deliverables.
Automation testing is not required at this stage the focus is on functional accuracy, business validation, and clarity of requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently analyze and understand business requirements, workflows, and use cases
- Translate business requirements into test scenarios, test cases, and edge cases
- Perform end-to-end manual testing (functional, regression, sanity, UAT support)
- Validate business logic and rule implementations beyond surface-level testing
- Identify, log, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and business impact
- Coordinate closely with developers to clarify requirements and resolve defects
- Act as a quality gatekeeper, ensuring features meet business intent before release
- Participate in requirement discussions, grooming sessions, and UAT sign-offs
- Proactively identify gaps, ambiguities, and risks in requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 35 years of experience in Manual Testing
- Engineering background (B.E / B.Tech preferred)
- Strong experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
- Ability to think like a Business Analyst, not just a tester
- Excellent understanding of business flows, validations, and data dependencies
- Strong defect reporting skills (clear, concise, and business-focused)
- Hands-on experience with test case design techniques
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
