About The Role
We are seeking a strong, self-driven QA Engineer to join our dynamic team in a hybrid role that combines Business Analysis and Quality Assurance functions. This unique position requires an individual capable of understanding complex business needs, translating them into clear, actionable requirements, and validating these through rigorous QA practices. The ideal candidate will leverage AI tools extensively to automate and optimize requirements documentation and testing activities, significantly reducing manual effort while enhancing accuracy and speed. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, automation, and quality assurance, shaping the future of testing paradigms within our organization.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in QA / Software Testing, with exposure to Business Analysis activities
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
- Proven ability to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios
- Experience with QA Automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar
- Hands-on experience using AI tools for QA and documentation, including AI test generators, AI copilots, and Gen AI tools
- Good knowledge of test case design techniques and requirement traceability
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman or equivalent
- Familiarity with project management and documentation tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently, take direction, and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
Business Analysis Responsibilities:
- Work under guidance to understand complex business problems, workflows, and client expectations
- Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements
- Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, developers, and product teams to clarify and refine requirements
- Utilize AI tools to assist in requirement generation, refinement, documentation, and validation processes
Quality Assurance Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases based on documented requirements
- Perform various testing types including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Ensure traceability between requirements and test cases to maintain comprehensive coverage
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect tracking tools such as JIRA
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure quality standards are met and issues are resolved promptly
- Leverage AI-powered QA tools to automate test case creation, execution, and maintenance, enhancing efficiency and coverage
AI & Automation Focus
- Utilize AI tools to generate and refine requirements and user stories
- Automatically create test cases from requirements to streamline testing processes
- Optimize regression test suites through AI-driven insights and automation
- Perform test data generation and defect analysis using AI capabilities
- Continuously identify areas where AI can reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and enhance overall efficiency
- Ensure that AI-generated outputs maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and alignment with business objectives
