Job Summary
We are looking for a
Tester with 12 years of experience to join our Quality Assurance team. The role involves
manual and automation testing, ensuring that software releases meet quality standards. You will work closely with Development and Product teams to validate features, identify defects, and support test automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases for functional, regression, and smoke testing
- Develop and maintain basic automation test scripts using Selenium, TestNG/JUnit, or similar tools
- Prepare and update test cases, test scenarios, and test data
- Identify scenarios suitable for automation and support improvements to existing automation scripts
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or SOAP UI
- Conduct basic database validation using SQL queries
- Log, track, and retest defects to closure
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing as required
- Support CI/CD testing activities in coordination with the development team
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience of working on data and analytics platforms is preferred
- Mandatory hands-on experience with JIRA and API testing using Postman
- 12 years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation)
- Basic working knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and Java
- Familiarity with TestNG / JUnit frameworks
- Understanding of software testing concepts, QA methodologies, and SDLC
- Experience with REST API testing
- Basic understanding of Microservices and backend testing concepts
- Familiarity with Git and build tools like Maven or Gradle
- Working knowledge of SQL for test validation
Good to Have
- Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter
- Experience testing web-based or enterprise applications
- Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
