QA Engineer

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Perform manual testing of web-based applications and web services in a client-server environment.
• Design and execute test cases for Sanity, Functional, Database, End-to-End Integration, and Regression testing.
• Script C#/.NET code to automate service and UI testing based on project requirements.
• Follow SCRUM methodologies and adhere to agile principles in test planning and execution.

Development & Automation

• Leverage prior experience as a software developer to contribute effectively to test automation frameworks.
• Utilize .NET, SQL, and automation tools (C# or Java) for test development and execution.
• Participate in API testing and automation of SOAP/REST web services.
• Understand and apply SDLC and STLC processes throughout the QA lifecycle.

Process Adherence & Collaboration

• Adhere to test strategies and plans ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.
• Work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, project managers, QA leads, and other stakeholders.
• Escalate critical issues promptly and follow up on deviations from SOPs or expected behavior.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain proper documentation of test cases, test results, and issue logs.
• Provide timely updates to leads and managers regarding progress and challenges.
• Ensure clarity and accuracy in bug reporting and documentation.

DevOps & Cloud Integration Support (Optional/Extended Role)

• Support DevOps activities including CI/CD, configuration management, and release processes.
• Contribute to infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and scripting in PowerShell or Bash.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to support application lifecycle and Azure-based deployments.
• Act as part of the L3 support team for operational support and emergency issue resolution.
