Job Title : QA Engineer - Data Testing and Reporting
Job Type : Contract/Part-Time
Experience : 5 15 years
Location : Telangana, Hyderabad (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
- Experience in QA with a strong focus on Data Testing / ETL Testing
- Strong expertise in SQL (complex joins, window functions, performance tuning)
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt, etc.)
- Experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, GCP BigQuery)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience in data testing automation frameworks (Great Expectations, Deequ, etc.)
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schemas)
- Strong knowledge of test methodologies, defect management, and QA lifecycle
- Knowledge of big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Understanding of data governance, lineage, and data quality tools
- Lead end-to-end testing of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting systems
- Perform complex SQL-based data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis
- Define and implement data QA strategies, standards, and best practices
- Design test plans, test cases, and test automation frameworks for data systems
- Lead test execution, defect management, and quality reporting
- Work closely with data engineers, BI developers, product owners, and business teams
- Build and maintain automated data validation frameworks using Python/SQL/tools
- Ensure consistency across multiple reporting layers and data marts
- Perform UAT support and business validation
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
