QA Data Test Lead

Owlsure, A business unit of Valuemomentum is hiring for QA ETL Tester Lead.

Location: Hyderabad

Experience: 7+ years.

Primary skills: ETL and Data Validation Testing, SQL and Cross-Database Data Comparison, Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter, Data Models QA Test Planning, Leadership, and Coordination.

Role Summary:

Lead the data validation effort between the Guidewire Aurora database and the SQL Server database. Own test planning, validation framework creation, execution oversight, and coordination with onsite teams. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter modules.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Coordination

• Lead the overall QA strategy for cross-database comparison for PC/CC/BC applications.
• Prepare detailed Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Entry/Exit Criteria, and Effort Estimates.
• Assign tasks to Junior QA ETL Testers and track completion.
• Coordinate with onsite development, data engineering, and functional QA teams.
• Conduct daily stand-ups, progress reporting, and defect triage sessions.

Technical Responsibilities

• Understand Guidewire data models for PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
• Analyze schemas in Aurora DB (PostgreSQL/MySQL flavor) and SQL Server DB and identify differences.
• Create automated or semi-automated data comparison scripts, including SQL queries, checksum logic, row counts, and column-level comparisons.
• Validate ETL/replication logic (if applicable), including:
• Record counts
• Primary and foreign key integrity
• Data type comparison
• Referential integrity
• Transformation rules (if any)
• Validate entity and column mappings for PC/CC/BC tables across both systems.
• Perform root-cause analysis of data mismatches and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.

Quality Governance

• Enforce QA best practices and conduct code reviews for SQL and comparison scripts.
• Ensure documentation of all mismatches, data gaps, and reconciliation logs.
• Provide sign-off on data validation results for each Guidewire module.
