Job Purpose
We are looking for a QA2 Automation Engineer with 35 years of experience who will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our customer-facing frontend platforms including Android, iOS, and Web applications.
The primary focus of this role will be to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for mobile and web platforms. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure that new features are delivered with high quality and minimal regressions.
As an e-commerce platform, our applications power critical user journeys such as product catalogue browsing, checkout flows, payments, and order lifecycle management, and this role will play a key part in ensuring these flows remain stable and reliable.
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong understanding of automation frameworks, frontend testing strategies, test design techniques, and CI/CD integration. Experience in mobile and web test automation along with modern QA practices will be highly valuable.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test suites for Android, iOS, and Web applications.
Write automated test cases for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing of customer-facing features.
Collaborate closely with frontend engineers (Android, iOS, Web) to understand application architecture and ensure proper automation coverage.
Validate critical e-commerce user journeys including product discovery, checkout flows, payment flows, and order lifecycle.
Design and execute test scenarios using strong test design techniques such as boundary value testing, equivalence partitioning, and risk-based testing.
Manage and track test cases, test execution, and defects using Jira and related test management practices.
Work closely with product managers and designers to validate business requirements and ensure correct feature behavior.
Perform API testing and validation to ensure reliability of frontend-backend integrations.
Build and maintain automation pipelines integrated with CI/CD systems to enable continuous testing.
Identify defects, analyze root causes, and collaborate with developers to ensure faster resolution.
Monitor automation results and improve stability, reliability, and execution efficiency of automation suites.
Continuously evaluate new tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve the overall QA automation ecosystem.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release readiness discussions.
Ensure high standards for performance, reliability, and usability across devices and browsers.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
35 years of experience in QA Automation, preferably testing mobile and web applications.
Experience working with test management tools such as Jira for test case management and defect tracking.
Hands-on Experience With Automation Tools Such As
- Appium / Espresso / XCUITest for mobile automation
- Selenium / Playwright / Cypress for web automation
Experience writing automation tests using Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, or Python.
Strong Understanding Of Test Design Techniques Such As
- Boundary value analysis
- Equivalence partitioning
- Risk-based testing
Experience with API testing tools and frameworks such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.
Good understanding of mobile and web application architecture and frontend workflows.
Experience integrating automation test suites with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Proficiency with Git or similar code versioning tools.
Experience testing REST APIs and JSON-based services.
Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile development environment.
Good To Have
Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber / Gherkin.
Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
Experience with mobile device farms such as BrowserStack or Firebase Test Lab.
Understanding of mobile deep linking, push notifications, and analytics validation.
Experience with test reporting tools such as Allure or ReportPortal.
Understanding of modern frontend technologies and mobile architectures.
