QA Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Python and Robot Framework.
• Create, execute, maintain, and optimize automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Perform Device Testing for hardware-software integrated products, validating device functionality, performance, reliability, and stability.
• Develop and execute API Test Automation for RESTful and SOAP-based APIs.
• Analyze API requests, responses, logs, and failures to identify root causes and troubleshoot defects.
• Collaborate with Developers, QA Teams, and Product Stakeholders to understand requirements and define effective test strategies.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and delivery.
• Participate in test planning, test estimation, test execution, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Prepare test reports and provide quality metrics and testing insights to stakeholders.

Core Skills

• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Robot Framework.
• Strong experience in API Testing and Automation, including REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.
• Hands-on experience in Device Testing and validation of hardware-integrated systems.
• Good understanding of test automation frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Technical Skills

• API Automation Tools: Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, communication protocols, and device communication.
• Experience working with Linux and Windows environments.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub for source control and version management.
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and automated test integration.
