Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience in software testing, specializing in automation using Playwright.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Agile methodologies, test planning, and end-to-end testing including API and UI validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright
- Perform UI and API testing to ensure application quality and reliability
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Create detailed test plans, test strategies, and test cases
- Execute manual and automated test cases and analyze results
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements
- Ensure test coverage for functional, regression, and integration testing
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA
- Hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework
- Strong understanding of Agile development lifecycle
- Experience in Test Case Design, Test Planning, and Test Strategy
- Proficiency in API testing (using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar)
- Solid experience in UI testing and cross-browser testing
- Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript / TypeScript / Java
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good to Have:
- Experience with performance or security testing
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker
