QA Automation Engineer

Quality Assurance Software QA Automation Engineer Purpose The Software QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for creating, executing, and maintaining automated testing scripts to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs. This document highlights roles and responsibilities for QA Automation Engineer. Responsibilities Review product requirements, functional and design specifications to determine and prepare automated test cases. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Design and implement tests, debug, and define corrective actions. Identify, analyze, and document issues that appear during testing, such as defects, bugs, errors, and inconsistencies. Prepare reusable functions, which improve the robustness, re-usability, and maintainability of their test scripts. Collaborate with the software development team to ensure the software meets quality standards. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs. Responsible for implementing, improving build test processes, environments, and scripts. These build tests ensure that the code drops to quality assurance are of the highest quality. Must work closely with other team members to automate the execution and verification of reports. Should provide a practical approach to complex product testing, specifically in the areas of the automation of test cases for the purposes of regression testing. Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies. Will be part of a team focusing on automation checking they run correctly and working within the infrastructure. Effectively utilize multiple environments to execute test scripts for increased productivity. Should be able to create pipelines for smoke, regression, and functional testing. Requirements 4+ years proven experience as a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer. Azure/AWS Fundamentals Certification or similar. Understanding of SDLC, STLC and QA methodology. Understanding of the workings of Scrum and Agile principles. Proficiency in root cause analysis and the ability to propose viable solutions is a plus. Working knowledge of Azure/AWS, Active Directory, Webserver (IIS), SQL and API. Expertise with Java, Selenium, TestNG/Cucumber, and Postman/Insomnia or similar is required. Ability to document in detail. Effective communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude. Ability to work independently and as a team. Self-starter. Fast learner and ability to adapt.
