About The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Python Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing technology team. This role will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems for a next-generation weather forecasting product. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across India and the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs.
Modify and enhance existing API endpoints to meet evolving business needs.
Build new API endpoints to support new product features.
Optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability.
Contribute to backend architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
Collaborate with frontend engineers, backend engineers, and product
managers.
Ensure high-quality code through testing, documentation, and adherence to
best practices.
Develop and enhance data processing workflows, including geospatial data
handling.
Required Qualifications
57 years of strong backend development experience.
Proficiency in Python and backend development frameworks.
Hands-on Experience With
- Flask
- Pytest
- REST API Development
- Swagger / OpenAPI documentation
- GitHub
Strong understanding of software development best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Prior experience working with US-based product startups.
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
