About the Role
We are hiring a dedicated Python Django Developer for a full-time contractual role to work on backend development, API creation, integrations, and feature enhancements. The candidate should be capable of independently handling assigned modules and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This is a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend systems using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Build scalable REST APIs and ensure seamless integration with frontend applications.
- Implement authentication, user management, and role-based access features.
- Design and manage relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
- Optimize SQL queries, create migrations, and maintain data integrity.
- Work with caching systems (Redis preferred).
- Integrate third-party APIs (payment gateways, SMS/email services, cloud tools).
- Support deployment on cloud platforms like AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar.
- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and debugging sessions.
- Ensure performance, reliability, and security best practices.
Required Skills- Strong knowledge of Python and Django framework.
- Hands-on experience with Django REST Framework.
- Solid understanding of SQL, ORM, and relational database concepts.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS/JS for debugging and API integration.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Ability to work independently and deliver within deadlines.
Good to Have- Experience with Celery/background tasks.
- Knowledge of authentication systems like JWT/OAuth.
- Exposure to microservices or event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3) or cloud hosting.
Soft Skills- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Ownership-driven, reliable, and consistent in delivery.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
