We are looking for a passionate and analytically driven Quantitative Researcher to join our fast-growing EdTech startup. The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of data science, finance, and education, building quantitative models and learning tools that simplify complex financial concepts for students and professionals.

You will play a key role in developing interactive learning systems, simulations, and analytics engines focused on financial markets, risk modeling, and quantitative strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop quantitative models and simulations for educational platforms (e.g., portfolio optimization, risk analysis, trading strategies)
  • Collaborate with content creators, educators, and engineers to translate complex quantitative concepts into engaging learning experiences
  • Build and maintain backend systems and APIs using Python for data processing and analytics
  • Develop interactive tools for scenario analysis, backtesting strategies, and market simulations
  • Work with large datasets to generate insights, visualizations, and educational content
  • Integrate real-time or historical market data into learning modules
  • Contribute to the development of microservices and scalable data pipelines
  • Participate in product development cycles, testing, and deployment in an agile environment
  • Continuously improve performance, accuracy, and usability of quantitative models

Mandatory Skills

  • 24+ years of experience in quantitative research, data science, or financial engineering
  • Strong programming skills in Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts such as portfolio theory, risk metrics (VaR), derivatives, and market behavior
  • Experience working with databases (MongoDB, SQL)
  • Familiarity with data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques
  • Ability to explain complex quantitative concepts in a simple, intuitive manner
  • Experience with version control (Git) and agile development practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
