Job Description

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Python Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python programming, testing frameworks, and collaboration tools, with exposure to data engineering concepts and modern development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain Python applications.

Apply object-oriented programming concepts to build scalable and maintainable code.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Debug and resolve technical issues as they arise.

Develop unit test cases using pytest to ensure code quality and reliability.

Strong experience with unit testing, integration testing, data testing, and test automation frameworks in Python.

Use Visual Studio as the primary development environment.

Manage code versioning and collaboration using GitHub.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Technical Skills:

Programming: Python, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

Frameworks & Libraries: pytest, Flask/Django (optional), Pandas, NumPy

Testing: Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Data Testing, Test Automation

Tools: Visual Studio, GitHub

Data Engineering (Preferred): Databricks, Data Modeling fundamentals

Version Control: Git

Additional: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Good to have but not mandatory:

Fundamentals of data modeling

Understanding of Data Engineering concepts

Experience working with Databricks

Exposure to cloud platforms
