Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain Python scripts to support data engineering tasks.
- Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
- Optimise and troubleshoot existing Python scripts for performance and reliability.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout all stages of the data pipeline.
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience with data engineering concepts and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modelling.
- Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Exposure to big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Understanding of DevOps practices for data engineering.
- Good to have knowledge of Apache Beam
